I am the oldest of four kids (my siblings are all amazing, funny, and successful) and was raised in a western lifestyle by parents who expected the best. My family, including my in-laws, are the most important part of my life and I thank God for them with each beat of my heart. I've loved animals, especially horses, my whole life and still find peace in my barnyard. I married the love of my life in 2001 and we have two amazingly spirited (and different) daughters who keep us on our toes and teach us about life daily!
I say bad words. Kind of a lot. I'm not proud of this, but it's who I am and dammit, it's hard to stop! Haha!
I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education with endorsements in Adult Education, ESL, and Reading. I am College Professor (Reading & Education) and a Rodeo Coach for a Nationally ranked College Rodeo Team. I love my career and especially enjoy my students! I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to do some amazing things in my life like carrying flags at the WNFR, interviewing people at the Tucson Rodeo, judging and emceeing various events, and assist in producing rodeos. I am also the author of the "Positively Organized" planner series.
My friends are a wildly important part of my life; They're the people outside of my family who keep me true to myself and who remind me what loyalty and integrity are each day of my life. Whenever life gets to be a bit too much, I can count on them to provide the rest, relaxation, and the laughs I need in order to be myself. I am truly lucky. I love all things funny and don't spend time doing things that don't bring joy to my life in some way (don't ask me to watch a sad movie)!
